If there's anything good that came out of the economic downside. Americans are actually saving more during the recession and spending less. It's true that more and more people get themselves into deeper debt, but the people who are lucky enough to still have steady jobs are spending less and saving more.

By foreclosing homes, many home owners find themselves feel less burdened since the home was under the water. Although it's terrible to think anyone who would do that just to get rid of debt and their financial obligation.
